Well the sweet corn crop is gone and mulched into the soil for next year. There is red and gold everywhere with a distinct morning chill in the air. I can't quite smell snow in the air yet but it's not far away. Book now for your southern hemisphere ski trip or better still, come over now for some outstanding autumn weather! My name is Alan, and my partner Kate and I have been living on 5 acres at Lothlorien (the name of our property) in the Wairarapa (about 1 and a half hours north of Wellington) for 9 years now. We invite you to be our guests for the week and make yourself at home in the self contained farm cottage and enjoy a holiday probably very different from others you have had. Check out the 'click here' below to see where we are. This is fundamentally a 5 day stay with ALL transport (and most equipment) included. After I meet you at Wellington Airport (probably there, but it doesn't have to be) the itinerary we would already have arranged with you would begin. 'Things to Do' above has more detail, but this could be just about anything you are interested in; * Tramping (hiking) * Wine-tasting * Fishing * Golf * Mountain biking * Mt Ruapehu * Lots of sight seeing We think this would especially suit the visitor who is looking for a real break from their normal lives as all transport is taken care of as part of your stay. This means that you have no driving worries, no accident worries and no 'Where am I' worries'! I will be in effect your chauffeur during your stay allowing different people to do different things. For example, Mum and Dad are golfing in the morning while the kids are bush walking or swimming in the river completely supervised. Or perhaps one couple is wine tasting while the other is climbing our local peaks. While you are here on the property you are free to; * Help yourself to the seasonal organic fruit and vegetables for your meals * Wander around enjoying the farm, gardens, animals and birdsong * Enjoy the river for fishing or swimming * Use our bikes for rides in the country
