If you have had a look at the property on Google Earth 41° 03' 50" S, 175° 28' 47" E (or click here to see picture) then you will have seen we are on the banks of a rather beautiful river. Many fish have come out of that river from our doorstep but the real fun is going some distance either up or down stream. For the adventurer and serious fisherman, a climb into the headwaters of this river (upstream is a NE direction if you are looking on the map) and an overnight in a real New Zealand hut should yield some fine brown trout.

We have fly rods here, but you might prefer to bring your own. We will provide you with sleeping bags and all cooking gear if you choose the headwaters option, but be prepared for a strenuous walk. The fishing in the Wairarapa is legendary and guides are available if you wish, but we are happy to escort you up to the hut.
